It’s the little changes that make BIG ripple effects in our lives. It’s the small shifts that cultivate a more intentional + meaningful life. Looking to the holiday season and thinking about the new year that’s ahead, what would happen if we made these shifts for the rest of this year? What could change?
🤍 What if instead of constantly picking up your phone, you made a true effort to pray instead? When you’re in the grocery store checkout line, when you’re driving somewhere, when you’re laying in bed and especially when sitting with your kids— what if saturating your day in prayer replaced the scrolling? When you realize how often you reach for it, you’ll realize you’re numbing more than you thought.
🤍 What if the MOMENT you felt your spirit started to get offended—whether it’s a text or a facial expression or a response that triggers your heart or mind to feel slighted, choose to immediately lay it down. Because in all honesty, the offense adds to your weight limit, not theirs. Grace will lift your head + your spirit.
🤍 What if your tendency to fill airwaves with what you wish you could change or what isn’t going right, you began to fill with the recognition of God’s fingerprints! You will see that the more gratitude holds your focus, the more joy + strength fill your soul!
🤍 What if you traded out your obsession with fixating on what you don’t control with putting energy towards what you can? When you start to dip into the unknown + other people’s processes + elements outside your hula hoop, decide to put your mind + hands to something you do! The practical shift of energy will build + remind you that God is better at handling what you cannot.
🤍 We live a lot of life “on the way somewhere.” As you’re operating and getting from place to place—allow a 2 minute buffer zone where you can sit in your car, read a psalm, and reset. This simple practice allows you to be a responder rather than a reactor in every place + relationship.
Little shifts…what if we could do these for the next month and a half—how could that change our start to 2025?
