It’s Election Day and we all feel the weightiness of this day. The news has been reeling and things have felt more vulnerable than usual but the truth? Heaven isn’t hanging on a thread by any outcome of this world.
Let’s remember:
🇺🇸 Your voice was created to be a mouthpiece! But a humble, aware, kind one. You can speak up and speak out without degrading people personally or causing division. Pause before speaking and imagine Jesus present. Let Him decide what you say.
🇺🇸 The sovereign will of God can be trusted. In every season, He is able and He is in control. This means that even when preference isn’t given, ultimate mercy still is extended. Because even when He’s removing or realigning, He’s refining so that we can see again.
🇺🇸 You can fully, 100000% disagree with everything about the way someone believes or thinks and STILL offer humility, tenderness, and grace. Could it be that your delivery actually helps someone think differently?
🇺🇸 The Bible is never in a position where it could be disproved or in trouble of being wrong. It is failproof. It is active. It is the origin and only source of truth. Don’t expect the world to know that—Jesus anticipated much opposition.
🇺🇸 The battle is not against flesh and blood. No matter the arrogance or atrocity of another side, recognize where the true battle lies so you can respond in a way that’s effective + helpful. Piercing arrows at flesh is merely a distraction from the enemy.
🇺🇸 Light always wins. Period. Think about a dark room—even a flashlight is what brings action + guidance. Don’t believe the truth that darkness has won; it is necessary for light to give way.
🇺🇸 When your spirit is discouraged by the division that seems imminent, make an intentional choice to pursue unity in places you can control. This bleeds out + changes atmospheres, tones, + perspectives.
🇺🇸 The news is important. Being aware is biblical. However, letting the headlines determine your peace will rob you of it. Recalibrate. God is near.
🇺🇸 You get to be a part of the world that you live in tomorrow. Remind your pride of that; people are the point and love is the only way to a life worth living.
