God is so, so, so good.

For a moment, stop what you’re doing.
Think about where you were ten years ago…what was going on? What has happened since then? What has He brought you through? How have you been refined in the process?
Survey where you were five years ago—has He helped you learn more about who you are and in turn, the strength and purpose of where you are and what you do and how you live?
Reflect on a situation that needed healing, a family member that was struggling, a stronghold that kept presenting itself, or heartache that derived from simply loving someone and having to let go.
All of it—the pain that transpired, the brokenness that was exposed, the refinement that has taken place, the healing that lasted longer than you thought, and just the hardship of LIFE—and now, you are here.
Is there a long way to go? Always. You were made for Heaven so the chasm between where you are + where you want to be will always feel present + loud. But perhaps, the stronger you feel the tension, the richer life becomes. It allows you to recognize two necessary truths of a full life: That you are very human + that He is absolutely God.

To sit and reflect on how He has rescued you? From yourself, from others, from poor choices, from the distractions of the world that look like love but leave you lonely? It is almost too much. His mercy has been so thick and aware.
To marinate on how He has heard your pleas for a certain road but made way for a detour that paved the way for strength, adventure, hope, and perseverance like you’ve never known before? It is the essence of kindness without need for recognition.
To sit + savor the truth that His presence remained wherever you went, no matter how hard you defied, denied, or doubted? It brings you to your knees.
His goodness chose you. It protects you + follows you. It doesn’t require an impressive performance but rather in its rawest state, it gets the performance out of you. It oozes so deep into the chambers of your heart until it convinces you to stop the striving—it never asked for that.

His goodness overflows. Abounds. It’s reckless in every heavenly way. So when you feel a little weary about where you are, remember the goodness of God 🤍
