There’s something about physically applying the armor to each part of your body and asking the Holy Spirit to activate it.
It can sound hokey, sure. Maybe cheesy. I don’t care.
You know when you’ll stop calling it childish and do it yourself? When you realize how much you desperately need it.
When the text rolls in and your heart drops,
When the report comes back and it’s not what you prayed for,
When you’re navigating seasons of uncertainty and clarity feels far-reaching,
When you feel excluded and have to show up anyway,
When you’re operating outside your comfort zone and want to turn back,
When relationships in your life are causing you deep grief,
When God is refining you and unearthing things you didn’t realize were growing,
When the world feels loud and you’re yearning for calm again,
When you’re raising up little disciples and you can’t control the outcome of your stewardship,
When…anything.
Life.
All of it. Any of it.
YOU NEED YOUR ARMOR.
Helmet of salvation.
Breastplate of righteousness.
Belt of truth.
Sandals of peace.
Shield of faith.
Sword of the spirit.

And for my own soul? The same.
Also a reminder that the only reason we’d need armor is if there was a battle.
There is. And being aware of it is the only way to walk in victory.
The keeper of our soul has prepared, positioned, and provided for us.
We have what we need AND we have the authority to take ground.
Let’s go!!! 💪🏻
