When it doesn't make sense, remember your God.

It feels so hard to see at the time—impossible almost—to recognize what God is doing when you’re in the middle of it.
OR to be honest, sometimes you feel well aware of what He’s not doing, what prayers He isn’t answering, and the gap between where you are and where you wish you were feels so much louder than you’d hoped.
OR you’re in your current season and you don’t feel like you have much vision for what’s next. Your strategy looks like a whole lot of prayer and a whole lot of surrender. It seems like everyone else around you has things a little more figured out, a little more under control, a little more aware of what’s next, right?

This place of being desperately aware of your shortsightedness and acutely aware of the Savior’s sovereignty is HOLY. It is sacred. It is pure and it is intentional. But it is also hard. It’s downright hard. You wonder if you’re missing it or if you need to do more to gain more insight but sometimes—often times—life is just that, a holding of His hand as you walk into the unknown.

Right now, in my current season, I don’t feel like I have a hold on much other than the people He has called me to and the immediacy of those needs. And while I know that is Kingdom order, to pursue Jesus and let Him illuminate the WHO He is asking you to see + love, sometimes it feels more responsible and strategic to know the direction and plan and then gather the troops.
But then I think of Abraham, Mary, Peter, Joseph…I think of David and Esther and…shoot. I think there might be a theme here.

it is MORE THAN OKAY to not know where you’re going.
A dear friend asked me yesterday, “What’s your vision/what are your dreams with Cleerely Stated!? I want to know everything!”
I was honest and told her I was a little frustrated with God because I still don’t have much. I’m wildly aware of who He is calling me to serve and speak to, but strategy? Business plan? Direction? I don’t know.
Her response: “Well, I have learned that if God wanted me to know, I would know. So, if He wanted you to know more, He would tell you.”

Oh.
So maybe the clarity isn’t knowing more but realizing that God is ALWAYS on it, always sovereign, and always good 🤍
